• Argentinian clapped at start and when taken off
• Roberto Mancini fines Mario Balotelli two weeks' wages
Carlos Tevez was clapped by the Manchester City support and scored his first goal for the club since May with a 50th-minute strike in the elite development squad's 3-1 win over Bolton Wanderers reserves in the Manchester Senior Cup at Hyde on Tuesday evening.
The Argentinian started the semi-final, with his name applauded by the 1,047 crowd when the team was read out. He was similarly well received when replaced after 70 minutes, with Tevez in return clapping the City fans.
Roberto Mancini stated said on Friday it may be at least two weeks until Tevez can be considered for the senior team.
The Italian has fined Mario Balotelli two weeks' wages – around £250,000 – after the striker was pictured leaving a strip club in Liverpool at around 3am on Friday, the day before City's 2-0 win over Bolton, in which he scored.
