Incident happened on the A1 northbound near Blyth, Nottinghamshire
A cyclist has died after he was in collision with a lorry on the A1, police have said. The incident, involving a male cyclist and a lorry, happened on the A1 northbound near Blyth, Nottinghamshire, at about 4.15am on Friday .
Officers closed that side of the carriageway while initial inquiries were carried out. It was reopened on Friday afternoon, a spokesman for Nottinghamshire police said.
The cyclist, believed to be 61, was taken to Bassetlaw hospital, where he later died. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to call the Nottinghamshire police or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
