Frank Lampard has highlighted Chelsea's lack of ruthlessness as a key reason for their Premier League toils. The club let in a late equaliser at Fulham on Monday night to squander further points and continue an unwanted trend. Clint Dempsey's goal was the 20th that they have conceded this season in the final 10 minutes of matches.
"It's frustrating because you want to see the game out with 10 minutes to go," Lampard said. "That's a huge difference … I watched Arsenal play [against Manchester City] and they won the game in the last minutes. They've done it in previous games and Manchester United do it regularly. Unfortunately, we haven't quite been able to do that and there's a lot of reasons for that.
"I felt we had a real stronghold at the start of the second-half. We started to move it about, we created a few chances and that was our time to kill the game off or strangle them out a bit but we let them back in it."
