Detectives treat deaths of men, whose bodies were found in Braintree, as suspicious
Detectives are investigating after two men were found dead in neighbouring homes.
Both bodies were discovered late on Sunday afternoon in Eagle Lane, Braintree, Essex.
The men were not believed to be related to one another but police were treating their deaths as suspicious.
An Essex police spokesman said: "Inquiries are continuing to establish the sequence of events leading to the deaths.
"The deaths are being treated as suspicious and both scenes are being forensically examined.
"Postmortem examinations are expected to take place in the next 48 hours."
One of the men was named as Alan Taylor, 59. The second man had not yet been formally identified.
Officers were focusing on the movements of the men or activity in Eagle Lane since 1 January.
